This Privacy Policy explains how The Purr Method (registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KvK number 42122623) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit www.thepurrmethod.com, sign up for our guide or emails, or buy our guide.

We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need. We never sell your data.

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Email address, when you sign up to receive the guide or our emails.
• Name, if you provide it when signing up or ordering.
• Order and billing details, such as name, email, and billing information needed to process a purchase. Payment details are handled directly by our payment provider and are not stored by us.
• Technical and usage data, such as your IP address, browser type, device, and pages visited, collected through cookies and analytics (see section 9).

We do not collect special categories of data, and the site is not directed at children (see section 11).

3. Why we use your data and our legal basis

We use your data for the following purposes, based on the following legal grounds under the GDPR:

• To send you the guide and related emails, based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To deliver a product you have bought and provide support, based on the performance of a contract with you.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website, based on our legitimate interest in running a functional, safe site.
• To comply with legal obligations, for example keeping records required by tax or administrative law.

4. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• send you the guide you requested,
• send occasional emails with cat behaviour tips or updates, only if you signed up,
• process and deliver your purchase,
• respond to your questions,
• understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.

We will not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.

5. Who we share your data with

We only share data with service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as needed. These are:

• our email provider Lovable, to send you the guide and our emails,
• our payment provider Plug & Pay, to process purchases,
• our hosting provider Lovable, to run and measure the site.

These providers process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

6. International transfers

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, so your data stays protected.

7. How long we keep your data

• Newsletter and signup data, until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• Order and administrative data, for as long as required by law. Dutch tax law requires business records to be kept for seven years.
• Analytics data, for a limited period as set by our analytics tool.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you,
• correct inaccurate data,
• have your data deleted,
• restrict or object to processing,
• receive your data in a portable format,
• withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how it is used.

• Essential cookies keep the site functioning and cannot be switched off.
• Analytics cookies help us see how visitors use the site. These are only placed with your consent.
• Marketing cookies, if used, are only placed with your consent.
